When considering the current political climate, it seems the line between reality and unreality is starting to fade. The distinction between truth and falsehood, right and wrong is up for debate now more than ever. Caught up in fear, many people are turning to alternative, extreme sources to help them understand the world.
By creating a dystopia using narrative elements, the frailty of the National Parks System is subsequently highlighted. The Environmental Protection Agency and the National Park Service may not protect the natural resources and landscapes dear to many American citizens. It is the responsibility of the American people to fight for the protection and preservation of the National Parks in order to keep them from turning into a reality previously thought to be a fictional, dystopian society.
